Key Focus Areas

The 2026 Bond Proposal focuses on building new elementary classrooms and enhancing academic opportunities while preparing our district to meet the needs of today’s learners and tomorrow’s graduates. Additionally, the new building provides all our Bulldogs (PreK-12th & staff) a secure STORM SHELTER during school and a COMMUNITY STORM SHELTER after school hours.

  • Facility Needs

Updates are needed to ensure safe, modern learning spaces. The 1936 elementary building alone needs over $1,000,000 in subfloor repairs. Electrical and HVAC systems are failing, hallways lack heating and cooling, and old windows are drafty and inefficient. With no wall insulation and aging infrastructure, energy costs rise and systems face constant strain.
  • Future Planning

Future planning focuses on building a new elementary school designed for long‑term growth. A modern, efficient facility with space for future additions will reduce maintenance costs, support enrollment needs, and ensure Savanna students have safe, high‑quality learning environments for generations to come.
  • Enrollment Growth

Growing student populations are increasing demand on classrooms and shared spaces.
